Travel Medical
May help with eligible emergency doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, or other covered treatment during the policy period.

Protection Away From Home
A disrupted trip or medical emergency abroad can get expensive quickly. We help you choose protection appropriate for your destination and plans.
How We Help
Compare coverage for medical care, evacuation, and eligible trip cancellations.
Cruises, international vacations, and extended travel have different risks. We help you review the details before departure.
Coverage Beyond Home
Travel insurance can protect you from certain unexpected financial risks before or during a trip. Depending on the policy, it may focus on emergency medical care abroad, protect prepaid trip costs, or combine several travel benefits in one plan.
Travel medical insurance and trip protection are not the same. Travel medical coverage helps with eligible healthcare expenses while traveling, while trip protection may address covered cancellations or interruptions.
Common Coverage Categories
Benefits vary by company and policy. Review the certificate of insurance for covered reasons, limits, exclusions, and required documentation.
May help with eligible emergency doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, or other covered treatment during the policy period.
May cover or coordinate transportation to an appropriate medical facility, or repatriation, when policy requirements are met.

Why Travelers Consider Coverage
Limit exposure to eligible emergency medical bills or covered prepaid trip losses.
Many plans include assistance services that can help locate care or coordinate next steps.
Specialized transportation can be costly; eligible evacuation benefits can provide important protection.
Travel knowing you have reviewed likely risks, important phone numbers, and a plan for disruptions.
Before You Buy
Cancellation and interruption benefits apply only to reasons defined by the policy. “Cancel for any reason” coverage, when available, has separate rules.
Review pre-existing-condition definitions, look-back periods, exclusions, and any time-sensitive waiver requirements.
Confirm destination eligibility, effective and end dates, maximum trip length, geographic limits, and whether activities or sports are excluded.
Ask about primary or secondary coverage, preauthorization, receipts, medical records, proof of loss, and notice deadlines.
Who May Benefit
International travelers, cruise passengers, students, families, extended-stay travelers, and people with significant nonrefundable trip costs may want to compare coverage.
Travel insurance covers specified events—it does not cover every disruption or medical expense. Known events, government restrictions, risky activities, epidemics, weather, pregnancy, and existing conditions may be handled differently by each contract. Never assume coverage; read the full policy.
